1) Traffic entering the raceway will be split into 2 lanes with 'Pits Only' traffic in the right hand lane and other traffic in the left hand lane. Signs will be in place and officials so only vehicles which are towing or carrying a race car will be allowed in the pit lane.
To speed up the movement of spectator cars it would be helpful if drivers could have the correct money ready to pay, this will reduce delays and queues at the entrance - thank you.
2) When parking in the pits please pull all lorries and trailers as far forward as possible to keep a wide clear area for the tractors to operate during the meeting (this includes keeping the area clear of race cars), otherwise the tractors become blocked and racing is delayed.
3) On race days the decision of officials is final. If however a driver feels that he / she has been unfairly penalised they can submit a written Appeal to the promoters within 48 hours of the meeting closing, this will be considered and a written reply given or an invitation to an appeal meeting to discuss the incident further.
4) Extensive damage has been caused to the spectator fencing last season by some spectators cutting sections out for viewing and photography etc.. This has resulted in major repairs being required and these may not be fully completed by the start of the season requiring sections of the spectator area to be unavailable, any spectators who are found to be damaging the fencing this season will be asked to leave the raceway and banned for 6 months.
5) Brampton Raceway reserve the right to carry out regular engine checks on the top 3 cars in each formula during the season. Drivers will be asked to drive to a designated area away from the main pits and spectators after their final where the checks will be carried out. Drivers should at least be able to carry out removal of the cylinder head or have a mechanic available for this. If the engine check shows no illegal parts up to £50.00 will be reimbursed to the driver at the following meeting on presentation of receipts for cylinder head gasket etc.. If the engine is found to be illegal no payment will be made and a ban will be given. Any driver who is unable to comply with the engine check procedure or has objections to the engine being examined should explain the reasons at scrutineering (or parent in the case of Novices). Any driver or Novice parent who does not fully co-operate with the engine check procedure will be assumed to have an illegal engine. I hope that all drivers and Novice parents can understand the need for these regular engine checks and that it will avoid cheating and accusations of cheating at Brampton Raceway.
We would be grateful if spectators and drivers could co-operate with these requests so that we can have a good season at Brampton.
If you have any questions regarding the above then contact the promoters by e-mail or phone, details on the Contacts page of this site.
